Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("Customer", "you") and SchoolBusTrack Ltd ("SchoolBusTrack", "we", "us").

By creating an account, accessing the admin dashboard, or using the parent mobile application (collectively the "Services"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

SchoolBusTrack provides a cloud-based school bus fleet tracking, management, and parent communication platform. The specific features available to you depend on your subscription plan.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time with at least 30 days' notice, except where required by law or in cases of fraud, abuse, or security risk.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must promptly notify us at support@schoolbustrack.ng if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Each account is for a single school or organisation. You may not share login credentials between schools.

SchoolBusTrack is offered on a subscription basis. Plans and current prices are listed on our Pricing page.

• Free trial — new accounts receive a 14-day Professional trial at no charge. No credit card is required to start the trial.
• Billing cycle — subscriptions are billed monthly in advance in Nigerian Naira (NGN).
• Payment — processed securely via Paystack. We accept cards, bank transfers, and USSD.
• Overdue accounts — if payment fails, we will retry twice. After 7 days of overdue status, access to the Services may be suspended.
• Cancellation — you may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Access continues until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial-month refunds.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or fraudulent content through the platform.
• Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the Services.
• Use the Services to track individuals without their knowledge or consent outside of the school bus tracking context.
• Resell or sublicense the Services to third parties without our written consent.
• Interfere with the operation of the Services or overload our infrastructure.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You own the data you input into the Services. You grant SchoolBusTrack a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Services. We will never sell your data or use it for advertising.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate consents and legal basis to share students' and parents' personal information with us, in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and any other applicable laws.

SchoolBusTrack and its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Services, including the software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding your data). Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks or branding.

You retain all rights to your own data and content. By using the Services, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for 99.5% monthly uptime, we make no guarantee of uninterrupted service. GPS accuracy depends on device hardware, mobile network quality, and urban density — SchoolBusTrack is not liable for location inaccuracies.

SchoolBusTrack is a tool to assist school administrators and inform parents. It does not replace your school's own safeguarding procedures or duty of care obligations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SchoolBusTrack's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) ₦50,000.

In no event will SchoolBusTrack be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SchoolBusTrack, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. We may immediately suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms, without prior notice.

On termination, your right to use the Services ends. You may export your data within 30 days of termination after which we will delete it per our data retention policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
